My Rapier is uninsured and the MOT has run out its of the road while i have the eng rebuilt etc. I have been told that if i put a sorn on it i will have to pay road tax when i put it back on the road next year is this true ?

Unless it goes past the 40 year old mark whilst its off the road but you'd need to check your registration doc to be sure.

Building the 'Mark II' fastback Rapier ('Arrocuda').

Yes, the SORN will only cover you whilst it is off road. When you want to put it back on the road it will have to be taxed.

You should also consider a "laid up" insurance policy whilst it is off the road. I used to have one on mine, it's only about £40 for the year and keeps you safe ;)
