Posted - 07 Aug 2017 : 16:46:41 My Series V Sunbeam Rapier has an oil leak from the Timning Chain Cover Crankshaft Pulley and I'm thinking of changing my timing chain cover to one that incorporates an oil seal. The crankshaft pulley that is currently fitted is a damped one and in rather a sorry state (photo Attached). I'd appreciate opinions on whther or not it is wise to fit a new undamped aluminium one which is available with the timing chain cover from Alpine Innovations.
Regards to all and Thanks to all who respond
