A friend of mine is looking for a good cylinder head for a 1964 Humber Sceptre.

I presume this is common to other models but I only have 1725 heads.

I've seen pictures of the old ones and it looks the same as the 1725 head apart from a pipe which is fixed to the front of the manifold side of the head.

Actually I have 2 'Series' heads. One from a IIIA & one from a V. I'll have a look and compare them. I think all 'Series' heads had the separate (sunken) plug castings, but maybe when they switched to 1725 the head was the same as what was eventually fitted to a Fastback? G

Yes, got one here; from memory it is pretty good. It has been stripped down and greased up ready for refitting and putting on a car. I think it is ready to go, but I'll have a look and pm you J. G.
