I collected this car on Saturday.
I saw it advertised, was the first person to phone so brought it blind,I trusted the owners description.
I could not believe how solid the car is when I inspected it.
It had a respray in the late 1970`s but in the wrong colour,I am going to put it back into it correct matallic bronze colour scheme.
In 1979 it had new front wings, front valance and sills fittted so no issues in this department.
Underneath and in the engine bay it is like new, very original and solid.

The car is a great blank canvas to work with it has not been got at in the past by a dealer or back street body shop.

The car is now living in Malta.

Seems they just cannot get enough British Classic Cars.

I have been working hard on the car over the xmas break.
The body work needed no welding at all.!!!
I have the engine running.
The clutch bled and operating correctly.
The brakes overhauled.
The paintwork cut and polished.
The interior and exterior fully valeted.
She now drives under own steam.

I am taking her for an Mot this week...watch this space.

Then I am going to respray her back to her original colour of Silver Grey Metallic.

What a great find Mike - Series V is it with 1725 engine? I know someone who's been looking for something like that for ages: he'll be upset he missed that one! Great chance to save one that I don't think is known to the club at all! Our Series Registrar might know better Look forward to hearing more when you get into it a bit more. Cheers. G.

Yep.... nice find. Would look even better with a 4" 'haircut' off the roof!

Building the 'Mark II' fastback Rapier ('Arrocuda').
