H120 registration HMM 959N?

I'm having a clear out in the garage and found some old car magazines, most of which contain Rapier related articles. Anyway, classic and sportscar from August 1991 has a nice article on the subject car, being offered for sale at Lenham motor company.

Odd thing is, DVLA shows the vehicle as untaxed since 1990 and no MOT history. Anyone know it's whereabouts??

Oh wow, what a story.

What a shame, as you say it was such a good car.

I've always been up for a challenge.....

Hi Jason,
Here's my synopsis I added to the database earlier this year
This car featured in Autocar & Motor on 13/11/91 & had covered only 23k and was bought by Phillip Young to recce the London Cape Town Rally route in 1992. Far too good a car to do that with. It was finally abandoned in Zaire (around Kinshasa) due to local feuds that meant it was dangerous to continue. There it remains to this day (Reg Guy was offered to go and get it for free! Wisely chose not to take up the offer) GM Feb 15
