Seems I have a crack in my exhaust.
Any advice on welding stainless steel?

Posted - 16 Mar 2019 : 09:05:13 I have no way of knowing what it's made of.
From what I've read, it's probably 304.
Here (https://www.mig-welding.co.uk/stainless.htm) prompted me to pick up some 308L filler.
The nearest correct gas I cold find in small quantities is Argon/CO2 mix (but with far too much CO2).
There is just a small split in silencer to repair (speed bump damage). I wondering how much I have to worry.

You could really do with knowing what grade of stainless the manifold is, so you can use the same filler material. |
