Hello Sunbeams.
Is there a database for the Gearbox (case) numbering system?
I can only find snippets of information on various Alpine forums.

The only obvious number is the date, 31st Aug 67 in this case. And I know it's all synchro. and O/D. none of which tallies with my 1959 Series 3, (but then neither does the 1725cc engine).
I would like to find, definitively, where it was sourced if I can.

If you have found a listing somewhere, could you share the location please?
Maybe it's right here at the SROC but I've just been using the wrong search words.
Thank you.
