Found this one. Its a 1971, GGC 988J in (what I would describe) as the desirable color of Sundance Yellow (I think?).
This one has been advertised off and on certainly a few times over the last 10 years and has always seemed a bit pricey.
Again £6000 seems pricey but I believe its been advertised for more in the past (Its the one with the chrome rocker cover).
Is this a fair price?

Some better thought out pictures would help, Interior, engine bay, close-ups of troublesome bodywork areas. |

Now sold, Must have been a good price.
Lets see if it appears elsewhere. Hope its gone to a good home as I would guess its possibly the last survivor in that colour. |

sorry just posted details of it again!!!! schoolboy error didnt read yours just pit it up as i couldnt login at work when i saw it on ebay and stuck it on the rapier facebook page. yes agree it doesent look too much different from the 8.5k machine but as always you have to go and look at every car as a crap one can look good in the pics and a bad looking car can turn out to be sound, ive seen so many arrow cars that belie appearance and description ive leared to be careful!

I think people are looking for alternatives right now cos the return on their savings is still poor with the banks and building societies. Awful lot of rubbish from imaginary barns at incredible prices being offered on the bay at the moment I notice.
The guy selling this one says in the ad'... "it won't win any beauty pageant but it's in great condition for it's age," If he removed the ridiculous spotlights off of the front, and those awful enormous chromed foglight/reversing lights mounted ABOVE the rear bumper (he cannot be serious), it might go some way to resolving his problem. Hasn't even attempted to conceal the wiring which just pops out of holes drilled through the rear valance and flies over the bumper into the back of these ridiculous light units.
Excessive chrome, especially in all the wrong places, looks bloody awful on any car. Less is more! Someone really needs to save this car from tasteless idiots!
Just my 2 cents.

I think it was the original long-time owner that did all the bling stuff & he was in his 80's when I last heard of him . G. |
